Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actress since late 1980s. Since the late 80s, Angela Evelyn has worked in film and TV. She's received several awards, among them the 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was born in New York New York and raised by an aunt living in Winston-Salem North Carolina. When Bassett was about five She and her sister relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida to stay with their mother, who was been divorced from her father. The year was 1980 and Bassett completed her studies at Yale University New Haven Connecticut with the degree of African American studies. She was also awarded a degree by The Yale School of Drama.
